Denise Fernandez
Certified Tennis Canada NCCP Level 3 Coach
Availability - Monday to Saturday  ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ - Denise Fernandez has been the Head Tennis Professional at the Lakeshore Tennis Club (LTC) since 2010. Denise is the Director of Development for Tennis Saskatchewan and is responsible for junior programs in the province. During the outdoor season, Denise leads the junior program at LTC and delivers several adult programs, clinics and private lessons. Of note, two of Denise’s junior program graduates received tennis scholarships at NCAA Division II schools in the USA. Denise has also coached a number of international coaching assignments with the Team Canada U12 girls – including tournaments in Bolivia and the Czech Republic. ​Born and raised in Regina, Denise was a nationally-ranked junior player who competed internationally. She attended Idaho State University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Sociology & Spanish. Following university, Denise began her coaching career with Peter Burwash International where she was employed at many 5-Star Resort & Country Club Tennis Facilities in Puerto Rico, British Virgin Islands and Costa Rica. ​Denise is excited to be back for another season at LTC and takes pride in being an ambassador for tennis in the province and at our club. She looks forward to meeting new members and connecting with returning members of all skill levels to help their development and love of the game.​

Marek Nehasil
Certified Tennis Canada NCCP Level 3 Coach
Marek Neheil has been coaching tennis at the Lakeshore Tennis Club for several years and is the primary coach for Saskatchewan High Performance Players.  He began playing tennis when he was 6 years old. As a junior, he competed in the highest league in Czech Republic and continued as an adult, playing in the 2nd league in Czech Republic as well as competing in Oberliga and in the Verbands league in Germany.​Marek began his coaching career in 2010 in the Czech Republic where he worked with juniors from beginner level up to high performance. He delivered private and group lessons, organized summer camps and planned tennis activities for children. ​​In 2014 Marek moved to Regina, Saskatchewan and continued to expand his tennis coaching experience. Marek primarily works for Tennis Saskatchewan, assisting with the developmental/high performance junior program and junior summer camps. He also offers private, semiprivate and group lessons for children, juniors and adults.​Marek recently earned USRSA Master Racquet Technician which certified him to string customize racquets.  If you are in need of a new tennis racquet or racquet stringing, continuously keeps himself up-to-date on the latest racquets, strings, grips, accessories and stringing techniques and can help you out.
