Morgan will be our primary candidate for the summer grant we received. Morgan is in her final high school year, is a certified Level One Instructor, is a High Performance player, and is enthusiastic to accept all the challenges of the position as Club Director. Please welcome Morgan as our primary club director and summer student! Morgan will take on the tasks of administration, membership, leagues, and special events. We look forward to having her taking the wheel on initiative, leadership, and hard work! Welcome aboard Morgan! .
Anya, is a member of the Chavez family - a particularly warm and generous family who have been members as long as I can remember. For those who are new to the club, many here have all watched Anya play tennis as a child, developing into an amazing junior high performance player! and the most wonderful, kind, thoughtful and gracious young women that she is.
Anya and Morgan will be heading up the Saturday children's lessons, and Anya will be also assisting on Sundays for 3 hours over lunch, helping with the junior league we hope to kick off, assist with ball machine, leagues, membership and be there to answer any questions and problems.
Van Nguyen, another high school senior, high performance player and genuine great guy! His personable skills and flexibility for work made us want to have him work for the club.. his willingness to learn and do.. makes him the perfect fit for Saturday morning PR guru while Morgan and Anya are on court! He will be there to help with any questions regarding membership,10S portal, the ball machines, and will help in facility repair and maintenance. He will be blowing the courts Saturday mornings, and will be available to help any any questions.
Jerry Mozel, is returning for our facility position, but is returning with fewer hours than last year in order for Van to be mentored and to allow him some hours. His focus this year with some help from potentially Danny Kolybaba, will be in establishing a court maintenance routine, using the sprayer we purchased last year, and to potentially address some minor court repairs as well.

Denise - level 3
Denise Fernandez started playing tennis at the age of 9 years old. At an early age she began to compete in Canadian Junior Nationals, Western Canada Games and other junior tournaments. Denise was nationally ranked player throughout out her career. After attending Luther College High School, Denise accepted an opportunity to further her education and tennis career. She received a full scholarship to attend Idaho State, and play Division I tennis for her University.
After graduating from Idaho State University her 10 year career started with Peter Burwash International. As a Tennis Director, Manager and Professional for Peter Burwash International she was employed with several 5 star hotel resorts that had tennis facilities. Denise’s coaching career has taken her to various places such as Palmas Del Mar Resort & Country Club, The Westin Rio Mar Resort in Puerto Rico, Rosewood Little Dix Bay, British Virgin Islands in Virgin Gorda, and Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica in Guanacaste, Costa Rica.
In 2010 she returned to her home town of Regina, Saskatchewan to manage the HP Junior Program, where she currently continues to facilitate as their Player Development Coordinator and Coach. Denise carries with her multiple coaching designations and certifications such as; Tennis Canada Coach 2, Tennis Canada Club Professional I, Tennis Canada Instructors I & II, PBI Management & Training Course, TPA Member & USTA Member, and is currently a Tennis Canada Coach 3 candidate. She is extremely excited to be a part of the Lakeshore Tennis Club for what will now be her eighth season. She is a huge advocate for developing tennis in her province and is looking forward to continue to do that and help its members and guests at the Lakeshore Tennis Club.
Marek - Level 3
Marek started playing tennis when he was 6 years old. As a junior, he competed
in the highest league in Czech Republic. As an adult player, he has played 2nd league in
Czech Republic and Oberliga (3rd highest league) and Verbands league (4th highest
league) in Germany. He has attended countless amount of tennis tournaments in both,
Czech Republic and Germany, and now in Canada.
His coaching career began in 2010 in Czech Republic where he worked with
juniors from beginner level up to high performance. He delivered private and group
lessons, organized summer camps and planned activities for children.
In 2014 Marek moved to Regina, Saskatchewan and continued to expand his
tennis coaching experience. He earned his Tennis Canada Instructor certification in
2014, Tennis Canada Club Pro 1 certification in 2015, Tennis Canada Coach 2
certification in 2017 and is a candidate for Coach 3 certification in 2018.
Marek works for Tennis Saskatchewan assisting with developmental/high
performance junior program and junior summer camps. He also offers private, semiprivateand group lessons for children, juniors and adults.
Marek recently earned USRSA Master Racquet Technician which certified him in
stringing and customizing racquets as well as continuously keeps him up to date on the
latest racquets, strings, grips, accessories and stringing techniques.
